The Nutrition & Health Village enables all those involved in food manufacturing, retail and food service to improve their knowledge of the new environmental challenges and issues faced by society today.

Stands in the Nutrition & Health Village welcome all the market players, Village Nutrition Santé

namely those who work alongside manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice professionals on a daily basis, helping them develop initiatives in favour of nutrition and consequently the consumer’s diet and health. The area dedicated to nutrition welcomes people from all walks of the food industry: manufacturers obviously but also research laboratories, training centres, business and research hubs, and others.

2010 Food and Health conference programme

“Tomorrow’s society depends on today’s food choices. A vast ecosystem in which food industry players, medical prescribers and consumers – each have a role to play. Visitors to SIAL 2010 Food and Health Conferences will discover a crossroads where ideas can be exchanged, needs and offerings redefined, and prospects and information discovered to develop ideas in line with the latest product trends.” Nathalie Hutter-Lardeau, Director of Atlantic Santé and Nutrition & Health Consultant for SIAL.

The Food & Health programme draws 1,500 attendees to each cycle. A comprehensive programme provides more than 35 round tables and talks on current topics.

Prepared in partnership with Atlantic Santé, the 2010 conference cycle will focus on 4 major themes:

In order to make the discussions with professionals more interactive, every day a slot is reserved in the Food & Health Conferences and Round Tables for “Your conference”. This is organized on the basis of themes that are selected by you according to your own interests and the questions you would like to put to the specialists invited. Themes revolve around the following: Legislation, Nutrients & New Ingredients, Disease, Consumption and Health.

Disney – SIAL award

The Walt Disney Company and SIAL recompense companies exhibiting particularly innovative products for children (aged 3 to 12) with a Disney-SIAL Award. These products have the nutritional values required for a balanced diet yet are tasty and fun.
