SIAL and In-food emphasize the significant role played by PAI (Produits Alimentaires Intermédiaires), namely semi-processed foods, ingredients and outsourcing solutions for successful products, well adapted to the current food trends.

 


These trends are internationally recognized: the demand for safer and healthier foods, the convergence of the food and cosmetic and beauty industries, the requirement for top quality products that nevertheless provide good value for money. As in many other sectors of the economy, the food industry is increasingly more structured and specialized: manufacturers of complex products are concentrating on the finished product formula derived from active principles or commodities from multiple industries, and on communication to the end consumer. They rely on a network of PAI suppliers, specializing in specific technologies or industries with R&D resources to forecast future needs. This is the core business target for the In-food centre - Innovations, sourcing & ideas, which enhances innovative ingredients and their applications in finished products. 


In-Food Centre also includes a conference programme on innovation in semi-processed foods and ingredients, and their applications in finished products.
