Created in 1986, SIAL d'Or is organized in partnership with 29 international trade magazines dedicated to food and retail.
SIAL d'Or identify and highlight innovations for food facings that have been commercially successful in their countries.
The products selected by the jury fall into 9 product categories: savoury grocery products, sweet grocery products, fresh dairy products, fresh products (non-milk), savoury frozen foods, sweet frozen foods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, wine.
The product selection criteria are:
- Launch of the product after October 2008
- Innovative productwhen launched in its country
- Commercial success confirmed in terms of listing
The Global SIAL d'Or, the supreme award is disclosed during the official SIAL d'Or Award Ceremony held during the exhibition

Description: Precooked Exotic Meals is a range of cooked chicken dishes which have maintained their freshness and flavours due to the StacPacTM cooking system.
Six dishes are available: Tikka Masala Chicken, Thaï Red Curry Chicken, Sesame Ginger Chicken, Chipotle Chicken, Butter Chicken, Thaï Yellow Curry Chicken.
The dish is packed in two containers, the meat separated from the vegetables. When cooking, the vegetables placed in the lower container are steamed whereas the meat, in the upper container, cooks slowly in its sauce. The food thus preserves its full flavour and texture.
Innovation: packaging with two compartments to comply with cooking imperatives.
